Badge was misaligned, wheels looked “base,” and it made no sounds whatsoever. And when I looked at the front of it, the air intake cavity was not present

Good eye! This purple hell cat challenger was rather quiet but I'm positive it was the genuine article.

The best looking purple is Cosmos Purple Metallic on the GTOs.

The Monaros had 3 different purples including Cosmos.

This is Purple Haze. It is the purple version of Cyclone Gray Metallic, Pacific Slate Blue, or the SS Mystic Green.

And this purple which Holden had, but I don’t know if it made it into Monaro production.
